Talk and Discussion on George Moore: Gort Public Library, 2pm. Given by Conor Montague. Conor is a postgraduate fellow at the Moore Institute, NUI Galway. He is currently writing a dissertation on epistolary networks between cultural elites during the Irish revival. He hosted the Fifth International George Moore Conference at the Moore Institute in June 2011, and recently co-edited a collection of essays with Adrian Frazier entitled George Moore: Dublin, Paris, Hollywood, published by Irish Academic Press in September 2012. ‘Water and Place:’ poetry with film and music presented by JACKIE QUEALLY with violinist PETER ARANOS. 8pm. Sullivan’s Royal Hotel. €4/€3 Jackie is an author on sacred places and has led tours, Celtic Trails, since 1999 to sacred sites within Scotland. She has authored guides to Rosslyn Chapel from a spiritual viewpoint, accounts on Reshel ley lines in Britain and also photography/poems on nature. Her next book will be on the earth energy grid in the Burren close to her current place of residence in Ireland. She also trains people in Ireland, UK and US/Europe in synergy light work according to demand.
